Steel Fiber


Reinforcement with WIRAND® fibres, produced with steel fibres with a low carbon content and a high tensile strength, increases all the mechanical strength parameters of the concrete, and in particular:

• Prevention of cracking due to plastic shrinkage
• Increase in the capacity to absorb temperature changes
• Capacity to absorb energy during post-cracking phase
• Increase in bending tensile strength
• Increase in impact strength
• Increase in resistance to cyclic actions (fatigue)

WIRAND fibres enable the reinforcement of any type of structure with a considerable saving in time.
The shaping is of fundamental importance in order to guarantee the adherence between fibres and concrete.
WIRAND fibres are most widely applied in the tunnel, industrial flooring, airport flooring, pre-fabrication and pre-compression sectors.
